Words With Friends. Lots of Words.

As heartbreaking as it is, there are times when we must face a sad fact. Writers can get frustrated. We are limited, if not in execution, then in ideas. If not in ideas, then in timeliness. We fall into cliches, we write ourselves in circles. We just don’t know. We want a new idea. We want to try something new, something out of our comfort zone, a new genre, a new style. We want to spend time with others, but write at the same time. It’s a conundrum.

This is where a superhero would have a partner, who would spark the planet-saving strategy with some offhand comment. This is also where a writer can turn and find a writing friend and suggest; let’s collaborate!

Collaboration is, first and foremost, an enjoyable way to share writing. It’s also a great way to explore new ways of looking at plots, characters, and even writing styles. After all, no matter how similar, no writer is identical. You may reach the same destination, but the way you get there could be different. It can help with punctuality, especially for those people who run out of motivation quickly. It’s an all-around good exercise to expand your inner world of ideas and improve your writing.

Come on people, let’s collaborate!
